IOWA GRIDIRON ELITE is a select organization for football players in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade who want to compete at an elite level. In 2024, we are excited to launch our inaugural 8th-grade team, with plans to expand to 6th and 7th grades in 2025.
Our mission is to showcase the top talent in eastern Iowa. We strive to bring together a compilation of talented players, working around everyone’s league season (we only come together before and after league seasons to avoid conflicts with those schedules), and to highlight what these players have already accomplished within their league or hometown team.
We’re not only looking for the best players but also talented coaches at each grade level to experience the coming together of eastern Iowa's best and compete with the nation's top teams and coaches. Although we play to compete at the highest level and represent eastern Iowa proudly, we also acknowledge the “one-of-a-kind” experience this provides for coaches, players, and parents.
Players are selected to IOWA GRIDIRON ELITE through a tryout process, including both non-padded and padded events. Practices are coordinated through the team director and head coaches and are held in Eastern Iowa. Teams participate in 2-3 tournaments per season. IOWA GRIDIRON ELITE does not conflict with regular league or school season play.
